Welcome to Betty's Thimble

Betty's Thimble is named after my grandma Elizabeth (Betty) Watters.  She was an avid sewist. While she was not necessarily a quilter, she was always busy sewing and mending.  She always had a thimble nearby.  If you were mouthy or disrespectful, she let you know she had that thimble by a good pluck on the head.  Grandma had a servant's heart.  She loved helping others and served faithfully at her church. 

The logo represents many of grandma Betty's favorites.  She loved taking walks in the woods and looking at flowers and birds.  I was always amazed that she knew the names of them all. She loved Chicory which is why the blueish-purple color around the thimble. Her signature is also found in the logo.
